As a result of my masters exhibition I was commissioned to design the Locals’ Guide to Edinburgh. The brainchild of a young publishing house, Word of Mouth Travels, they wanted to create a guidebook that opened the door to the secrets of a city, the hidden gems that only locals are normally privy to.
I set about turning a Filofax of post-it notes into a unique guidebook, one that was rich with imagery, and detail. It has been described as a revolutionary by the press and commercially has been a great success. We are in our second print run, in the process of publishing the second book in the series and have made it onto Waterstones and Amazons bestselling lists.
