WHO?
After nine years of working as a design professional central to my practice is the belief that great design comes from collaboration with the client. Each project is approached with intelligence and crafted with passion delivering effective solutions that add value to a clients business.
I am a designer in love with design, with a great eye for detail and a vast knowledge of design history. I have a passion for all things visual and spend my spare time rummaging for whatever forms of graphic ephemera I can unearth. Naturally, after nearly a decade of use I know the Adobe Suite inside out and back to front.
I have experience in team and project management, art and creative direction and client communication and presentation. You can trust me to take a project from initial brief to final outcome delivering top class solutions every time, no matter how big or small the project.
WHAT?
Expert knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Also QuarkXpress, Dreamweaver, basic Flash, Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.
Skilled typographer, and layout artist with indepth knowledge of grids, colour and composition, as well invaluable experience with commercial printing processes.
Accomplished analogue and digital illustrator and photographer.

Coming up with new process for the creation and production of design systems, managing workflow, scheduling and overseeing the design department are among my vast and varied responsibilities. Role heavily involved team and project management and supervision as well as art direction. I oversaw projects from initial brief to final delivery. Leading projects for clients such as the Scottish Premiere League, Edinburgh College of Art, Aberdeen University, Kwik Fit Insurance, and Scottish Dance Theatre.

Working on a range of independent projects including the complete design, illustration and art direction of The Locals’ Guide to Edinburgh and The Locals’ Guide to Glasgow, design of the books and fiction section of Product Magazine, design for independent films and bands. Freelance with Freight Design, The Gate Advertising Agency, KTwo Products and G2G3. Projects included designing an award wining series of books, as well as the application and development of Eon, Reuters, DHL and Hewlett Packard branding.

Projects included design of bi-lingual corporate literature for Government Departments, design for the National Museum of Ireland as well as magazine and identity work.

Started as a junior designer, quickly promoted to middleweight designer with responsibilities for training and managing a junior designer. Projects included the complete brand design and application for Vudusoul, a contemporary clothes shop. Brand identity for architects, construction companies, property developers, hotels and many more.

Working with ITN news graphics as an intern for one month. Complete re-brand and application for Resurrection, a boutique in London as well as design for the St. Ives Fringe Festival.

Design of external and internal banners, signage and road signs for the celebration of 150 years at the Limerick College of Art and Design. Design of signage and wayfinding system for the University of Galway and Naas General Hospital.
